Our Standards
Each brand goes through a rating validation process. This is so the consumer doesn’t have to spend the hours scouring the internet and searching as to if a brand is washing you with clever marketing, or they are actually doing business for good!
Our inclusive environment is not exclusive to business model however, not all brands that apply, tick every box to appear on our website.
Our rating standards of Bronze to Gold appear on all listings at the Hello Good World marketplace. You can also Shop by the Sustainable Development Goals to purchase products that make an amazing impact in areas that mean the most to you.
Our rating standard looks at:
- your business model
- your problem to solution fit (a theory of change can sometimes be beneficial here)
- the impact you’ve had currently
- ethics + sustainability in your supply chain
On a successful application, you will be awarded a bronze, silver or gold standard that will appear on your listing.
Gold Rated
Demonstrated the highest level of problem solving and outcomes to a social, cultural or environmental issue whilst proving strong ethics and holistic sustainability. Aligned with at least three of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Silver Rated
Demonstrated a high level of problem solving and outcomes to their mission whilst providing a well-rounded solution. Silver companies demonstrate patterns to continually increase their impact or better their business practises and are recognised as having a high likelihood of reaching gold status within 24 months. Aligned with at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Bronze Rated
Demonstrated a good level of problem solving and outcomes to their mission or for a cause. Bronze companies demonstrate patterns to increase their impact or better their business practices. Aligned with at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Demonstrated areas little to no competency of creating a solution to provide an outcome to asocial, cultural or environmental issue. A malalignment with one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals may have been found. These companies will not be found on the Hello Good World eCommerce Platform.
Who can join?
Eligible brands are then welcomed to join our low-risk online marketplace to expand your reach and increase your brand exposure.
We pride ourselves on being an INCLUSIVE environment for business that do better, ‘good business is what we call it!
You may apply if you are a product-based business that falls under one or more of the following
- social enterprise (certified or otherwise)
- B Corp and working towards B Corp status
- impact-led, purpose-led organisations
- non-profit, charity (DGR status or otherwise)
- ethical business
- environmental, eco or sustainable brands
- and currently trading in Australia or UK (coming soon!)
We exist to help small business in the above categories thrive – if you only have one product, if your business has just launched, you don’t even need a website to get started.
